12 Days of Christmas

As a parent of three boys, each with their own unique needs (For those of you who don’t read my posts regularly, I am mammy to a dictating toddler, a 10 year old with ADHD and a 13 year old with a life limiting condition called Hunter Syndrome), I thought I would try to give you all a glimpse of our Christmas using ‘The 12 days of Christmas’ as inspiration.

On the first day of Christmas my hubby cried to me; who knocked over the damn tree?

On the second day of Christmas my hubby cried to me; two TV’s blaring and who knocked over the damn tree?

On the third day of Christmas my hubby cried to me; three boys are screaming, two TV’s blaring and who knocked over the damn tree?

On the fourth day of Christmas my hubby cried to me; four loads of washing, three boys are screaming, two TV’s blaring and who knocked over the damn tree?

On the fifth day of Christmas my hubby cried to me; five minutes peace, four loads a washing, three boys are screaming, two TV’s blaring and who knocked over the damn tree?

On the sixth day of Christmas my hubby cried to me; six toys a broken, five minutes peace, four loads of washing,three boys are screaming , two TV’s blaring and who knocked over the damn tree?

On the seventh day of Christmas my hubby cried to me; seven bins overflowin’, six toys a broken, five minutes peace, four loads of washing, three boys are screaming, two TV’s blaring and who knocked over the damn tree?

On the eighth day of Christmas my hubby cried to me; eight movies repeating, seven bins overflowin’, six toys a broken, five minutes peace, four loads of washing, three boys are screaming, two TV’s blaring and who knocked over the damn tree?

On the ninth day of Christmas my hubby cried to me; nine public meltdowns,eight movies repeating, seven bins overflowin’, six toys a broken, five minutes peace, four loads of washing, three boys are screaming, two TV’s blaring and who knocked over the damn tree?

On the tenth day of Christmas my hubby cried to me; ten sleepless nights, nine public meltdowns, eight movies repeating, seven bins overflowin’, six toys a broken, five minutes peace, four loads of washing, three boys are screaming, two TV’s blaring and who knocked over the damn tree?

On the eleventh day of Christmas my hubby cried to me; eleven turkey dinners, ten sleepless nights, nine public meltdowns, eight movies repeating, seven bins overflowin’, six toys a broken, five minutes peace, four loads of washing, three boys are screaming, two TV’s blaring and who knocked over the damn tree?

On the twelfth day of Christmas my hubby cried to me; twelve pounds and creeping, eleven turkey dinners, ten sleepless nights, nine public meltdowns, eight movies repeating, seven bins overflowin’, six toys a broken, five minutes peace, four loads of washing, three boys are screaming, two TV’s blaring and who knocked over the damn tree?
