Time

Tick Tock; stop the clock,
Prevent the bells from calling out,
Tell the tulips Spring ain’t coming,
Get the birds to quit their humming.

‘Terminally ill’ rings in my ears,
Scans, tests, needles; the coming years,
Treatment; no cure, therapies to get us through,
Tremendous task; there’s nothing we can do.

Tears fall silently; legs tremble with fear,
A parents worst nightmare, too much to bear,
One day at a time is all we can do,
Take pictures so often…videos too.

Tick Tock ; I wish the clock would stop.
