Netflix Stream Teamin’

I will admit it ; ever since I became part of Netflix Stream Team I am using it as an excuse to watch as much Netflix as I possibly can .

It’s guilt free now, because I can say “ I need to watch this for Nexflix”

I will disclose that ; this is not how Netflix Stream Team works, but hey, my family don’t know that , so I exaggerated it a little teeny bit to get control of Netflix .

No judgement , I am only human.

So what is it about Netflix that causes me to lie in order to watch more ?

There are a few things to be brutally honest .

“The Good Wife” – yes, I know it’s an old series but that does not make it any less enthralling .

I love the stories , the courtroom battles and how it makes me believe that I could actually help Alicia & Co in real life…my knowledge is growing with every episode …

However, there is so much more going on ; family life, battling personal demons , and love , oh yes there are a few love stories in the mix. One love story in particular which , for the first three seasons ,has had me torn between the two men in the main characters ,Alicia’s life .

I am currently on season three and I am delighted that there are four more still for me to enjoy.

My second ‘must-watch-as- part-of- my- Netflix -association’ (wink, wink) is Mindhunter.

This is new to Netflix , so I am only currently on episode two.

This is a retro series ; in the sense that it is set in 1977, so the decor, the wardrobe and the smoking wherever the hell anyone likes , is all portrayed on screen.

The first episode is slow ; there is no other way to say it. The build up is slow the story is slow but it is slow for a reason.

It takes time to tell a good story and slowly is often the best way to do this.

There is plenty of dark humour thrown in, if you pay attention.

The series is basically about finding out what it is that makes people commit such heinous crimes .

Is it psychological? Is it background ? Or is it that they were simply born this way?

By episode two however , Mindhunter picks up speed and leaves us excited to see the next episode.

The two main characters work well together and share some really laugh out loud moments while trying to explain to regular police investigators that sometimes , sometimes people commit crimes , horrific crimes for  reasons other than that they are ‘crazy’.

They are trying to explain criminal psychology and criminal profiling to those who are in law enforcement ; back in the 70’s this was a very hard task.

They begin to think that the best way to understand those who commit such crimes is to sit down with them and talk to them.

It is fascinating.

The acting is superb and the story is gripping , which makes it very understandable why there is a season two in the works .

Espsiode three is waiting for me tonight.

Looking for a good film?

I have watched a few recently which I really felt didn’t get enough praise anywhere !

Hello ,My name is Doris.

10 years, the reunion.

The Fundamentals of Caring.

And one I plan to watch “The Meyerowitze Stories” which I think will be worth a watch.

I will  have no children at school  tomorrow, due to a storm called ‘Ophelia’ which plans to cause some havoc , which obviously we all hope it won’t but I can’t help but wonder if that means my internet will go?

For those of you who don’t know, you can download certain series, movies and documentaries on Netflix to watch without internet connection, perfect for Ophelias plan, eh?

I am off now to download programmers from Netflix for us all to watch just Incase …
